Fiesta Mittens

Materials: Koigu KPPPM and Koigu KPPM Solid, US Size 0 and 2 needles

The pattern called for the body to be knit on US Size 1 needles, but I went up to a 2 because I have lager hands. I also have longer than normal fingers...the pattern calls for decreasing to start when the body is 6" long from the end of the cuff, but that made the mitten too short for me...I had to go up to 6.75" to get the mitten to fit my fingers. I picked these colorways to go with my University of Minnesota Columbia polar fleece jacket. The jacket is maroon with gold embroidery, and it is rather hard to find mittens to match. Instead of matching the solid to the jacket, I chose olive as a complementary color, then chose a multi KPPPM that had maroon and gold shades in it. They look wonderful together!
