Clapotis, she is Done!
Yay! I finished Clapotis on Friday! What a fun scarf she is! My DH even thought it was cool!
It is so warn and cozy, yet very drapey and pretty. Me likey! The Lion and Lamb is getting a bit fuzzy and pilly though, but hopefully it doesn't get too bad... my black wool pea coat is starting to turn a bit blue and red! Clapotis...my first FO of 2005.
I decided to pick up a current WIP and try to finish it instead of starting a new project. The Kujaku Sleeveless Sweater will now get more of my attention. I worked a couple of 24 row pattern repeats this weekend while watching the MI-5 Marathon on A & E. I'm working on the back and am about 2" before I start the arm hole shaping:
It is hard to photograph this garment...either I get a good photo of the yarn, or a good photo of the pattern. Either way, this is a fun project!! The pattern is challenging enough that it's not boring, but not too hard that I get tired or frustrated. The yarn is amazing and knits up well, and I know I will like the finished garment because I tried on the store sample at my LYS ...it will look cool over a black long sleeved or 3/4 length sleeved shirt!
I'm also working on a super secret design, either for the Spring Knitty or Warm MagKnits, depending on what deadline I haven't missed when I get done knitting. I'm also starting to draft for a "man sweater" for Summer Knitty (the "Man Issue"). I'm also designing a sweater vest for myself, but might write up the pattern and offer it for free. I'm going to be adding a photo album of free patterns designed by me or friends of mine. Busy, busy!

Clapotis is gorgeous! The colors looks great on you :-)
Looks like you have quite a few projects coming up - can't wait to see them all finished.

Hi,
Maybe you could help me. I want to join a knit along but when I click on the knitalong I dont ever get to see the picture of what im knitting. Any ideas as to how I can see a picture before I join?
Thanks,

I'd love to see what you're working on. Our deadline is completed stuff by end of Jan but I can be flexible if need be! :)

WOW! Clapotis looks so cute! I am dying to start one! After the shrug from Scarf Style, the Granny Square Cardi from IK Crochet, and after my sisters birthday present. hahaha
So, what's DH stand for? I see everyone using it on their blog and have no clue what it means...

You look gorgeous in your beautiful clapotis. I'm completing the first one I've made for myself in Lion and Lamb mixed berries. I absolutely adore your color choice. Which color did you use? And by the way, peacoats act like velcro to wool. It's too bad because they are so warm and look great with scarves.
Again, that is one of the most beautiful photos of a clapotis and it's maker I've ever seen. I can't wait to complete mine.
Have a wonderful day and thank you for posting. I can't wait to wear mine too!
