The flowers are knit too? Wow-this is one to consider.

Any thoughts on alternate yarns? The Baby is pretty pricy for fifteen balls at $15 each.

I was thinking Lamb's Pride Bulky, but it doesn't to appear to be in the ballpark for gauge. Double stranded maybe?

Sign me up for your knit along. I promise to post pictures of the progress just as soon as I find the charger for my digital camera.

Side note...I live in Saint Paul. Do you want to meet to go sunbathing today? Wait, you're right, maybe we should wait until the tempurature hits a true -20 degrees fahrenheit. That would be swell.

The LP would definitely need to be double stranded--or maybe one strang worsted with one strand bulky. Actually Brown Sheep Burlyspun is the right gauge. It's about $15 for 132 yds. Another yarn to consider would be Cascade Magnum. It's around $20 a skein but is 123 yds a skein. Bulky Lopi is another choice (66 yds for $6.50).

Hmmm...I may have to consider this one. Way to go on hosting a knit along. :)

I think I'm going with the Bulky Lopi from Camilla Vally Farms-they have the best selection of colors it seems.

Would Rowan Big Wool work do you think? I would love to do this, but have never felted and it would be an expensive mistake if it didn't felt properly. How hard is felting?

I'm in Australia and we cant get the Tahki here, so I guess the Big Wool would have to do.

Has anyone progressed to putting this together (the bag before felting)? I have all my pieces but the bottom seems very small for the bag. I want to know if anyone else has experienced this.
